Family park
A family park has to hold an afternoon. One clean field of poured safety surfacing, four pieces spread by age: the push-turned carousel in the toddler corner, the cake castle for climbing and sliding, the hexagon net fort for the ones who never stop running, and the ring swings in the shade for everyone. And for every child, somewhere an adult can stand and still see them.

Cake castleThe cake castle holds the middle of the ground: three round tiers, cream scalloped skirts and a gold crown on top. Children climb the open stair and come back down the two spiral chutes, which land on the matting.

Hexagon net fortOn the grass side, six towers carry a hexagon of net bridges with the lawn left open in the middle: children cross above, adults walk upright underneath.

Hoop swingsFour closed rings in four colours hang from a single beam in the shade: one child to a ring, a parent pushing from beside it.

Pedal carouselIn the toddler corner behind a low timber rail, a five-horse carousel turns because the children push it: no motor, no music, and the parents' bench just outside.
